Welcome to Midwest Hitting & Catching!

If you live in or around the St. Louis area and are looking for private hitting or catching lessons, you've come to the right place!  My name is Jeremiah and I have been giving private lessons for about two years.  I played 4 years at Highland High School, 4 years at Greenville College, and 1 year with the River City Rascals organization.  Along with playing, I have coaching experience as well, 2 years at Highland High School and 1 year with the River City organization, and currently I am working with Greenville College's catchers.

My hitting philosophy has been molded from a variety of different sources.  I had a hitting coach in college that taught us to look at our process and not our result!  This was some of the best advice any coach has ever given to me.  In my lessons, I teach a five step process that allows the hitter to have a high average as well as power and be a gap-to-gap hitter.

At Highland, our focus was bunting, baserunning, and most importantly defense.  Catcher's have the most important job on the field.  In my catching lessons, I cover everything from the different stances to blocking, to calling a game.  It is my belief that catchers are made through hard work, repetition, and dedication.

If you have any questions or are interested in receiving a lesson, please email me at [email protected].  Most lessons will be held in Highland, but arrangements can be made elsewhere. (prices below)
